Experiencing the Downfalls of Excessive Picture Taking...

First my Lightroom program would not work this week. And now my Photoshop will not load. So I can not edit any photos, but I will make do. Dave is doing some stuff on the computer and it is incredibly, irritatingly slow. Then today I tried to upload pictures for my blog, and I lost the pictures. So I had to quickly take some more because I will not have a 365 miss over a technical glitch! Also, I have run out of space on pretty much every drive on the computer- all of them being overloaded with photos. I thought I would take a few more pictures of my flowers because the petals are starting to fall off, and soon they will be gone for another year.

Jelly Beans

When we were at Costco a few weeks ago I bought a giant bag of Jelly Belly jelly beans. I think this is a good example of why they say don't go grocery shopping on an empty stomach...

Lunch Time With Daddy

Dave tries to come home every day at lunch time. It is a nice break in our day, and we always enjoy seeing him. Zoe always has to sample everyone's food. Dave often asks if she has eaten lunch yet, as he watches her gobble down his, and yes she has almost always already eaten.

Noodle Art

Someone insisted on eating the noodles..."Just one bite, okay?" One bite turned into several, of course.

Painting and Plasticine

I am amazed today by the changes I see in my little girl. She has grown up so much in the past few weeks. Today she even helped me in the garden. She is still a little handful, but I am hoping three will be as good with her as it was with Reese. Only a few more months until her third birthday...
The look of a very serious artist... You know the kind that divides her attention between her artwork and the program on t.v.?

I convinced her to paint with the sparkle paints today because I was feeling lazy. These are less messy and the brush is in the tube. They are stinky though. Very stinky. They are supposed to be scented, but I think something went horribly wrong with this concoction. The kids seem to like that strong perfume stink though. Good job at making stinky paints Elmer's...perhaps you should stick to making glue?

I don't think she has ever played with Plasticine before. I found it hiding under the sink. She kept insisting it was Play Dough.

Sweet End to Our Sweet Weekend

Today Reese and I went on a date. We went for a free Pizza Pizza lunch of pizza and chocolate milk, and Reese even had enough to share with me. Here is the link to the kids birthday club if you are interested.
Then we went to see The Last Song. We got our movie tickets, popcorn and a bag of Reese Bites, all for free with tickets from our Old El Paso and General Mills cereal boxes. So it was a sweet deal! We had a great time on our date, and the movie was really good. Unfortunately I did not come prepared with an adequate supply of tissues. Reese and I were both crying, and my stomach was starting to burn from trying to hold in my tears. I thought maybe we appeared a bit crazy because I couldn't actually hear anyone else crying. Maybe they were trying to hold it in too...
I don't have pictures from our date, but I do have a picture of Zoe playing our new Wii this morning, and some other random filler pics from the weekend.

Hot Prints

Dave and I were looking through our latest Hot Prints book last night and I was thinking that maybe some of you would like to know about Hot Prints. Hot Prints will give you a free photo book each month. It's really more like a magazine than a book, but I think it's a good way to organize monthly pics. There is no shipping cost either. So if you are interested, you might want to check out the site, read it over, and order your first free book. The link is
And until the end of April you can use the code free4friends to get a second free book. So if you decide to try it out based on my recommendation, don't say I never did anything for you, okay? ;)

Weeds and Rock Collecting

Today we went for a little walk on the street behind our house to collect rocks. Rock collecting is a very exciting activity when your six and two. I took pictures of weeds on our journey.

Spring Art

Last night I was making some deep fried potato skins (mmm), and I found a potato with some green on the peel...I wasn't sure if I wanted a green potato skin so I decided to save that potato for...some potato stampin' tulip art!

In the Past Week...

In the past week, Zoe has mastered both her tricycles and her bike. It is amazing how quickly she has gone from not wanting to even pedal, to wanting to ride her trike/bike everywhere. It is nice to see this kind of growth, and nice to be at that stage where my girls can go bike riding together. Yesterday, both the girls rode their bikes to the park. Dave took them the other evening and Zoe rode too, but this is the first time that I have ever taken them both to the park on their bikes.

Ready for Summer!

I pulled out the box with the girls summer clothes today. They were so excited to try things on and look at all the clothes. They are very stereotypical girlie in that way.

Of course being children, they had to get right into the box...

Modeling their matching summer hats. Reese was all about the goofy expressions today...

Modeling a summer shirt and hat, with some winter leggings...

Zoe wanted an old Care Bear shirt from the summer pile. It was too big though so I just cut the sleeves of this one, which was too small, but I'd saved because it was too cute for me to say goodbye to just yet. Zoe was happy about it.

Twisting her swing up to the top

Zoe loved these "summer pants" and wanted me to take a picture of them. Funny girl.
