The last pic is the butterfly Zoe made in art class yesterday. I was pleased that she actually completed the project! She wasn't too focused on the second project though...

Didn't Make the Cut, but...

I have now blogged for a whole entire month! Last night I decided to FINALLY play with Photoshop. I can't take credit for learning on my own though. I found a tutorial online for what I was trying to achieve and I had my husband read it, learn it, and then teach me what he learned. So lazy, I know, but he is much more interested in computer stuff than I am. It was a lot more complex than my 3 second Lightroom edits. These aren't my pics for today. They are just pics I took throughout the month that I played with. I haven't taken any pics yet today because it's only 9 am. I am barely awake yet.

Time for a Change

Dave set up Reese's old Dora bed for Zoe today. There was no particular need to move her into a bed, as all was fine with the crib, but we thought it would be fun for a change. So tonight she will be sleeping in a bed, with a pillow, for the first time.

Kitchen Tools

Today I wanted to take pictures from a different perspective. So I decided to take them through some kitchen tools. I would not say that they turned out particularly well, but they are different so I guess my goal has been achieved? Zoe has not had a nap in four days. I am tired, and I really need to clean the house. I think you can see that really well in the last picture. I put her up in her crib, but somehow I don't feel relaxed enough to get things done unless she actually goes to sleep. Looks like that won't be happening now. I have to pick Reese up from the bus stop in less than half an hour.

Feet and Hands. Feet and Hands. Feet and...

I love photographing feet. Here is a natural partnership...

A Good Excuse Not to do Housework. Well, Good Enough for now...

I know I have already blogged today, but I will use any excuse to put off housework for just a little bit longer...

More From Fisheye

I bought this attachment lens a few months ago. I hadn't really played with it until yesterday though. I bought it (new) on Ebay for about $40. It's not the greatest quality or anything, considering it was so cheap and it just attaches onto another lens, but it's fun to play with sometimes.

Fun With Fisheye

Dear Fisheye,

You amuse me.

Events Unfolding...

This first one is from earlier today. I threw it in to show how often this interest in gum occurs. She pulled this pack out of the cupboard.

And then after picking Reese up from school...

It makes perfect sense to keep your bad parenting choices to yourself, right? Instead, I've decided to blog mine. Well, this one time. My children are very fascinated with gum. It's an exciting treat for Reese, and Zoe has never tried it, well except for one time when she snuck it...Today I let her satisfy her curiousity. She won't be having it again for a while so I hope this event has gotten it out of her system. Unlikely though. She was so excited and said "I'm eating MY gum." There was a great emphasis on "my." Then she swallowed it. Oops.

Snow to Rain

It is snowing huge flakes out there today. They are wet flakes, and when they hit the windows, it looks like rain.
I think the first picture would have worked out a bit better if I had not chopped off her one hand, but I have to snap those pictures fast, and it is a manual lens, which makes that a bit tricky!

Pink Bug

Years ago, David told me that sometime after I got my G licence, he would buy me a VW Beetle (and possibly have it painted pink). Well, by the time I got my G, I realized a couple things:

a) A Beetle is not a pratical family vehicle.
b) I did not want to have a car with such a distinct look and colour that everyone in the city would recognize it. You know, in case I cut someone off or something. ;)

If you thought I was going to say that I realized I was too mature for a pink bug, you'd be wrong. That will never happen.

Dave took the girls to playgroup today, and I went to the Gap. I didn't really want to go because I am trying not to buy so many clothes, but I can not resist 40% off clearance merchandise. The place was really picked over, but I did surprisingly well. I spent just over $57 and I had a $10 gift card from MyPoints so it only cost me $47.37. I bought myself two pairs of jeans. I bought Zoe a pair of leggings because that is ALL she will wear right now, and I got her some new underwear because they were just too cute to pass up. I also bought 3 long sleeved shirts for Reese. So I think I did pretty well. Then I decided I had enough time to grocery shop before work and things got even better when I discovered I had $70 in PC points. We had Ring a Wing for dinner tonight, and I'd say, it's been a good day.

Window Light

I don't like to use a flash, and when light is coming from the window, that makes me pretty happy. I'm sort of a geek.
